Little and Big Rosa Parks

Rosa Parks was an activist and one of the most important figures in the American civil rights movement. At age thirty, she became a leader of the National Association for the Advancement of Colored People (NAACP) in Montgomery and began working to end inequality. At age forty-two, she was arrested and jailed because she refused to give up her seat on a bus to a white person. Her arrest united African Americans in Montgomery to demand change and led a year-long bus boycott. Rosa was a lifelong activist, helping and inspiring countless people with her courage, dignity, and determination in the fight for human equality.
