The peace and love sign was designed in the 1950s by Gerald Holtom and, along with the peace hand sign, was adopted by anti-war activists during the 1970s. The name 19-69 represents precisely this: freedom, tolerance and counterculture. The 19-69 Chinese Tobacco scent is also reminiscent of a visit to a restaurant in Kuala Terengganu. It was late at night, the air was filled with wonderful aromas coming from the kitchen area, while a group of men smoked and played cards. The scent is spicy and woody.
