The fabrics are woven on shuttle looms, which is one of the oldest types of looms, a slow but very effective system that produces fabrics with beautiful qualities. Woven with hand-woven Italian linen yarn on a sack-weave structure that creates a beautiful base. Once woven and washed, each item is hand-cut one at a time, in a process called “taglio dirittofilo”, a method that consists of removing a weft thread, which are the horizontal threads parallel to the edge of the fabric, and cutting the fabric along that line, ensuring a very straight cut that makes each garment perfectly square and does not become misshapen after washing or wearing. After cutting, each edge is hand-stitched and frayed before being washed a second time to ensure a perfect finish. Our tailors hand-press and hem each piece with the greatest care, and the end result is what we consider a true sartorial finishing process.
