Helmut Newton made no distinction either compositionally or stylistically between his work for magazines and commercial assignments. Not without irony, he often said that he was “a gun for hire.” This was also the title of June Newton’s legendary book on her commercial photography, which is now available in a new, revised edition from the Helmut Newton Foundation.
