In 1785, when Maria Anne Fitzherbert opened a love letter from her admirer, Prince George of Wales, she did not expect to find an eye staring back at her. They had fallen in love, but their courtship had been disastrous. Royal laws forbade a Catholic widow to become a monarch. The prince was determined to marry her, however, and sent her a letter containing a rare and fascinating gift—a miniature depicting only George’s own right eye. Thus miniature eyes, also known as lover’s eyes, appeared all over Britain for nearly half a century. As with the royal couple, most were commissioned as gifts expressing devotion between loved ones. All were intimate and extremely precious, always meant to be kept in pockets or pinned close to the heart. This fascinating tradition is what inspired the Lovers Eyes collection, and has brought it into the 21st century in functional objects that seem to be watching us intently. In this case, a tray featuring an eye engraved in detail on the porcelain. For its decoration, a combination of intense Saxony blue and golden lustre on white porcelain was chosen. A creation full of meaning, functional and hypnotic.

At WOW , we want you to be completely satisfied with your purchase. That's why we accept exchanges and returns within 30 calendar days of purchase , provided the item meets our terms and conditions and is eligible for return .
Once your return has been processed, your refund will be issued to the original payment method or gift card. For credit/debit cards, please allow up to 3-5 business days from the date of receipt of the confirmation email.
Returns are not accepted in the following cases:

- Second-hand, unlabeled, refurbished, or customized products.
- Textiles without their original labels or footwear without their boxes.
- Flowers, books and perfumes with the protective seal removed
- Personal hygiene products, such as brushes, earrings, or any item without its protective strip

The first national return will be free, with a subsequent cost of €3.95.
International returns will have a cost of €7.95.

In the event of a delay of more than 20 minutes, we may have to reschedule your appointment, charging 50% of the total treatment price, subject to availability.
If you need to change your appointment, you can do so with at least 72 hours' notice, subject to availability. Cancellations made more than 72 hours in advance may receive a refund or a gift card for a future reservation.
For cancellations made less than 72 hours in advance, only 50% of the appointment fee will be refundable. If you fail to show up without prior notice, we will not be able to offer a refund or reschedule.
